Manager - Process Methods And Tools (m/f)

Key Responsibilities

  • Defines and maintains a global FP&C engineering development process for mechatronic and mechanical projects
  • Establishes methodologies and metrics driven culture to verify process performance (KPIs)
  • Provides strategic input in support of winning new business. (concerning customer requirements)
  • Leads initiatives for continuous product and process improvement and innovation objectives.
  • Assures compliance to Automotive standards (ISO/TS16949:2002, ISO 26262, Automotive Spice)
  • Identifies and reports any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
  • Coordinates FP&C Tools and Process topics
  • Provides strategic support for tooling and methods to Engineering Directors Managers to enhance capabilities.
  • Provides training and documentation, process mapping, to the teams
  • Shares lessons learned & best practices across Divisions & Group
  • Conducts regular meetings with QA, COE’s and GVV, establishing effective working relations across the organization.
  • Supports engineering change management process, assures that Group process are followed and all required documents are in place as per FPC, MPT and industry standard & accreditations.
  • Assures that synergies with other groups are investigate and proposes all potentials to lean, accelerate and cost reduce the eCF development process.
  • Defines and enforces RASIC structure for cross function/group/service provider interactions.
  • Assumes overall responsibility for the maintenance of sound staff relations and follows and enforces group policies regarding employee selection, training and promotion.
  • Follows the management information and reporting system, including regular management report out meeting, assures that all direct reports also deliver customer updates, escalations, and information. pertaining to engineering content ontime and up to expected quality standard.
  • Participates and contributes to technical symposiums and conferences through technical presentations and technical papers in regard to methods and processes of product engineering.
  • Maintain such relations within the industry as are deemed necessary for the achievement of Company objectives
  • Supports the principles of the Employee’s Charter and the other relevant policies
  • Frequent overseas travel to be expected.


Your Profile

  • Bachelor of Science - Engineering required, Masters degree in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) years minimum relevant automotive design/process, development and validation experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities/skills.
  • Proven ability to initiate and to maintain actions and processes for an improved competitiveness position
  • Proven ability to work in complex matrix organizations and to develop them to the next level of excellence
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English.
  • Proficient at making customer presentations.
  • Must be able to relate / communicate well with people at all levels.
  • Must have good organizational skills, be a team player and an active listener.
  • Must be very familiar with Automotive Manufacturing Process, Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly and Six Sigma Techniques, Synchronous Manufacturing, DFMEA, PFMEA, VA/VE, QFD, TOPS, DOE, Continuous Improvement Techniques, JIT, working knowledge of OHSA, TS16949/ISO-9001 and ISO14001, ASIL, SPICE.
